CONTROLLER
Apollo Taxis continue to experience solid growth and are now looking for a proactive and enthusiastic person to join our vibrant team as a Controller.
The position is on a permanent, full time basis and the successful candidate will be flexible and able to work shifts over a 24 hour period.
Main duties include:
- Despatching bookings to drivers using the Cab Despatch booking system.
- Provide the first point of contact for a team of 30 drivers and supporting them in their role.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times and dealing with any problems that may arise during the shift.
- Supporting the Telephonist with taking calls.
- Communicating with Drivers, Telephonists and Management throughout the shift.
Experience is not necessary as full training will be given however the following skills would be advantageous:
- Local knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
- Team player
- Strong character
- Ability to work under pressure
DRIVERS

Apollo are Kent’s fastest growing private hire company. We expect this growth to accelerate in coming months and will need new drivers to meet demand.
You will need to have held a full driving licence for at least a year, have a good knowledge of Maidstone, Aylesford and the surrounding area and be a great communicator.
We work long hours at unsocial times but the money is good and because we enjoy what we do, it’s not like work at all!
TELEPHONIST
Apollo Taxis continue to experience solid growth and are now looking for a proactive and enthusiastic person to join our vibrant team as a Telephonist.
The position is on a permanent, full time basis and the successful candidate will be flexible and able to work shifts over a 24 hour period.
Main duties include:
- Answering the vast majority of calls during the shift.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Working with the Controller to ensure we reach every single customer on time.
Experience is not necessary as full training will be given however the following skills would be advantageous:
- Local knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
- Team player
- Strong character
- Ability to work under pressure
